How to Order Plants

Use the included order form and list the plants required. Order as many plants as needed. There is no limit. Please tally up your order, multiply by the plant cost and add the appropriate freight charge. Add substitutes please. With seasonal variations, plants requested may be available at only certain times of the year. These are annotated with an asterisk after the botanical name. While we try to have everything ready the vagrancies of the weather often intervene with production.

Payment can be made by cheque or by direct credit to our bank account. Details of direct credit payments will be advised by email at the time of ordering. If paying by cheque send a ‘limited cheque’ so the exact amount can be charged. Make the cheque out to THE FRAGRANT GARDEN. Please sign the cheque but leave the amount blank. In the bottom left hand corner write - “limited to $(the total amount) a/c payee only”. This makes the cheque as secure as possible. We are the only ones who can bank it and the charges are only for the plants for your order. When the order is sent to you, there will be an invoice recording the actual amount spent. If the order cannot be fully supplied then the amount of the missing plants is deducted. This will be recorded on the invoice. If you prefer the cheque filled in for a fixed amount then list plenty of substitute herbs please. Otherwise, if your order cannot be filled exactly any extra money will be credited towards your next order.

Orders are despatched at the beginning of the week. There may be a delay when your order is held over to the following week. Orders are delivered by courier. Please note that courier companies now have an extra $5-00 charge for any rural delivery address. We suggest if you have a friend or business contact in the nearest town that you arrange for the delivery to made there to avoid the excess. Please include instructions if you are out during the day. (We can tell the courier to leave the plants in a special spot – backdoor or behind the shed etc.) Write your phone number on the order so the courier can ring you if necessary.
